Great Bay Kids' Company Annual Fundraiser & Silent Auction
Portsmouth, NH- Great Bay Kids' Company, a non-profit early education center and school age provider with programs in Exeter, Newfields, Newmarket and Portsmouth will celebrate 51 years of quality early education on the Seacoast on Saturday, October 20th at the Tuscan Kitchen in Portsmouth. Enjoy delicious specialties and cocktails while bidding in one of the regions largest silent auctions- all to benefit Great Bay Kids’ Company 2018/2019 initiatives. Tickets are only $100 per person, available through the Great Bay Kids’ website: www.greatbaykids.org for this amazing night of fundraising. Together with a Volunteer Board, Executive Director, Katelyn Dennis, created special initiatives that help increase teacher wages and benefits, supplemental funds for state scholarship recipients, program enhancements, upgrades to outdoor classrooms, funds for a teacher/family hardship fund to be used for emergencies and unforeseeable expenses, funds for yoga and meditation workshops and general building upgrades to all three centers. These initiatives help keep tuition at a reasonable cost to families. “Every year things get better and better- our organization is growing in leaps and bounds! Together with many local supporters we continue to meet our goal of providing high quality early education- we attract the best teachers with generous benefits and wages, we support our local community by providing New Hampshire State Scholarships, and most importantly we love and nurture our little ones with our child comes first philosophy. At the end of the day we are contributing not only prepared little society members for the world, but providing over 125 jobs on the Seacoast- it just feels good!” commented Katelyn Dennis. "I feel fortunate to be involved with Great Bay Kids’ and appreciate watching them accommodate for the substantial needs of our community for high quality early childhood education. Infrastructure, such as Great Bay Kids’ is vital and supports the 80% of job growth that comes from start-ups, as well as the existing employers seeking employees in our region. The work is never done in this area- Great Bay Kids’ does an amazing job supporting families, taking care of their teachers and staff and also supporting the greater community with emergency relief. They are definitely contributing to the good in our society all the way around! I hope you will come out and support them by purchasing tickets or donating items to the auction, “ stated volunteer Board of Director Chairperson Chad Weathers.
